Brief Description
With a view to the effective processing of the files of victims of violence, several actions have been undertaken, including:
- the training of judicial actors in the care of victims of violence based on gender, including 30 in 2015, 100 in 2016 and 55 in 2018;
- the development and dissemination in 2016 of a collection of legal texts favorable to women in the courts, gendarmerie brigades and police stations;
- the organization in 2016 of a session on the appropriation of international legal instruments relating to human rights, including CEDAW, for the benefit of judicial actors (judges, clerks and lawyers);
- the training of 275 actors in the judicial/criminal chain (magistrates, police, gendarmes) on taking legal measures to protect the rights of women and girls and the effective application of the law against FGM.
